Welcome to The Ostrich Hotel in Robertsbridge

The Ostrich Hotel is a Victorian bed and breakfast (B&B) and public house in Robertsbridge, sympathetically restored by the current owners. It offers a range of facilities including: bed and breakfast accommodation, free function room hire, a large car park and a unique tropical garden! It also serves a selection of French, Spanish and Italian wines available by the glass or bottle, real ales and bar snacks.

The Ostrich Hotel and bed and breakfast is only a stone's throw from the mainline station of Robertsbridge and within easy reach of Bateman's, Great Dixter, Bodiam Castle and Scotney Castle.

The Ostrich Hotel's name is derived from the coat of arms on its sign, which belonged to the Lord of the Manor of Robertsbridge in the 1850's, the Allfrey family.

The Ostrich was built at this location because the main London to Hastings line runs through Robertsbridge. The pub is less than 35 yards from the station!

FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER 2015 Was really great fun.

On Friday 30 October, here at The Ostrich, we held a Meal'n'Murder evening. 4 travellers get on a train but, by the end of the journey only 3 are still alive.  You are the detective.  Could you have  solved the crime?

We booked a cast of live actors and throughout the 3 course meal, you will see the tragedy unfold, amply sprinkled with clues, and have to decide who the murderer is.

The meal was to be an acknowledgement of Halloween.

Everyone thought Tony did it but we are not telling.
